Some are probably wondering where I’ve been recently… :)


So, here’s what I know. I enjoy putting out a barmod.. and very much love hearing from people that use it letting me know that they’re enjoying it! It’s cool to help people out, and provide them with something that makes them enjoy their phone that much more.. ya know?


With all of the new Gingerbread themes out.. it seems that the blackbar mod is a thing of the past. *sigh*.. I was pretty bummed when I saw that all the ROMs now include by default the black bar… So I asked for input. I got quite a bit of feedback.


Here’s what I learned from the feedback:
No two people want exactly the same things in their theme!


Now, I’m not much of a designer. I don’t do custom icons, and my Photoshop/Gimp -fu is crazy weak.
BUT, I can script and even throw around a little html when in a pinch.


Currently in Alpha, is a site that lets you select your phone, and what ROM and version you have. Then pick which battery icons, notification drop-down background you’d like, as well as customize the text on the lockscreen/notification drop-down.
Lots more to follow when time allows…



So far, what I’ve tested works fine, but I could use a few more testers.
If you’d like to test, please email me ((seph @gmail)) with the following info:
–Do you know how to .sbf, and are you comfortable doing so?
–What Android device do you have? (currently only working on DroidX, and Droid2, but will be expanding very soon!)
–What ROM and which version are you using?
–And if you have a theme, which one?



Keep an eye on the site every so often… Hope to have this thing up and running in the next couple weeks.

Edit (20110116-21:22)-
Current release planned for next weekend. Issues yet to resolve: Planning on having the carrier text (and possibly other text fields) set to specific color depending on the theme. Some themes require white carrier text, others black. I may even have a theme included by then that has yellow, and/or other text colors.. depends on what themers want… :)
